Matthew Bourne's Cinderella

Last night, I went to the ballet, and it was absolutely incredible! Matthew Bourne's Cinderella is a stunning contemporary tale set in World War II during the Blitz. The characters were well developed and expressive as well as comical and entertaining. The set design and lighting was captivating and constantly changing. From the evil step mother, to the son with a curious foot fetish everyone expressed an individual persona easily communicated without words. There were even a couple of gay soldiers who requited their love (or fleeting passion) at the ball. Only on for a week the show is constantly selling out.

Last night, I saw a ballet

Last night James had invited me to see Les Ballets Trockadero De Monte Carlo performing at the Hippodrome in Birmingham. A comidic ballet looking at excerts of Swan Lake. Men in make-up and tutus, what else could you want?
