Matthew Bourne's Cinderella
Last night, I went to the ballet, and it was absolutely incredible! Matthew Bourne's Cinderella is a stunning contemporary tale set in World War II during the Blitz. The characters were well developed and expressive as well as comical and entertaining. The set design and lighting was captivating and constantly changing. From the evil step mother, to the son with a curious foot fetish everyone expressed an individual persona easily communicated without words. There were even a couple of gay soldiers who requited their love (or fleeting passion) at the ball. Only on for a week the show is constantly selling out.

Last night, I saw a ballet
Last night James had invited me to see Les Ballets Trockadero De Monte Carlo performing at the Hippodrome in Birmingham. A comidic ballet looking at excerts of Swan Lake. Men in make-up and tutus, what else could you want?

It is through our destruction we give these things new purpose
Roseanna and I were in the studio today, making magic again. Deep, dark, swamp like magic. There were legs everywhere. Meet Martin, our friend with (not so)many legs. And a picture from our last time in the studio.

A new direction
So I've been contemplating things for some time now and assessing my position as a photographer or someone who visually communicates. I've taken on a new project, that takes me down a different path, starting with self exploration. Phase 1, February 1st - http://allthatwasleftintheboxwashope.com/

Alex Templar
It's been so long since I've blogged or thought about blogging, to the point it seems that every post starts with this sentance. I have been doing things though. Little things, here, and there.
Last year I took my housemate into the studio. I've been doing a lot of little simple studio portraits lately. So here are a couple of Alex Templar.
